Gorgeous pics, great sound effects. Perfect.Nov 12, 2009

This Sesame Street book is a real winner. It's huge with great big uncomplicated pictures so it's good even for littler babies. I read it almost every day to my 10-month old boy and he mostly sits nicely and stares at the pics. He has recently become interested in trying to activate the sounds himself too.
There isn't really a story as such. Each of the main SS characters is shown doing some kind of exercise or physical activity and there is a fun description of each activity too. It's all done in rhyme which I believe is very important for the development of early language skills.
The pages are paper - this isn't a board book - and that's sometimes a challenge when the baby gets very exuberant but otherwise this is a real home run.
