 Doesn't Actually Play "Toy Story" SoundsMay 28, 2010

My 3 year old likes this book a lot, so I couldn't rate it too poorly, but I was disappointed with it. I assumed that the buttons would play recognizable sounds from "Toy Story." I wasn't expecting anything elaborate, but take the button with Rex (the dinosaur) on it, one would assume it would play a roar in the voice of the character. Instead, all the buttons do is play a little tune. Not even a tune from the movie.
On the plus side, as I said, my son likes the book. And an unexpected surprise was that the pages have touch areas on the characters, like Andy's felt hat and Rex's scaly skin.

My son likes it but I thought the sounds would be lines from the characters in the movie. Nonetheless, it's a decent toy, and still one of his favorite books to play with.

My grandson loves pushing the buttons and listening to the noises it makes. He loves Woody and Buzz and enjoys the book allot as well as his older (3 year old) sister.

I was really disappointed by the quality of the book. When it arrived in a padded mailer, I could see that the corners were worn. I thought that we had received a used copy, but upon further inspection, it became clear that the book had gotten damaged in transit because it is fragile. After flipping through the pages a few times (before our tot even touched the book), it looked like a garage sale find. The cover was starting to detach.
It was a Christmas gift, so we didn't have time to send it back. We also reasoned that with a little kid, the book was unlikely to stay pristine anyway. We reinforced the binding with clear packing tape so that it wouldn't fall apart, wrapped it, and put it under the tree. It is still holding together, but I suspect that is because our little guy very rarely uses it - he still goes for the ancient Sesame Street book with sounds that inspired us to purchase this in the first place.
I wouldn't recommend this product - neither the content nor the quality were worth it.

First of all I did not realize this product was used. I don't know how I missed that? Anyway, The book is smaller than I expected and the cardboard pages are scuffed and bowed out of shape. There was a long scrape on the bright green plastic part. The character buttons just make strange noises that do not make sense with the button's character/picture. This was going to be a christmas gift to my son but I just gave it to him to play with now because it isn't worth wrapping. My son is 4 so he likes anything that makes noise at least.
