My First Story Reader and Nickelodeon, Dora the Explorer 3-Book Library is an interactive reading system designed for children ages 6 months and older. Insert a storybook into the My First Story Reader console, and the reading system is ready for use. In the Read to Me mode, children turn the pages to hear a narrator read the story, and sounds and music bring the story to life. In Activity mode, children press the three buttons on the console to answer simple questions about colors and shapes.

The three Dora the Explorer storybooks are spiral-bound and made of sturdy board pages that hold up to rough handling. Here is a quick synopsis of the collection:

• At the Farm. Dora and Boots help Pinto the pony find his barnyard friends who have wandered away from the farm. The story ends by inviting children to sing a chorus of "Home, Sweet Home."
• Puzzle Pieces. Dora's baby brother and sister have lost pieces to their puzzle. Dora and Boots come to their aid, finding the pieces and singing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."
• Paint with Me! When Boots is struggling to find something to paint for the Art Fair, Dora offers several ideas. Kids are invited to sing along to "Mi Amigo, Boots."

My First Story Reader and Nickelodeon, Dora the Explorer 3-Book Library conforms to the toy safety requirements of ASTM F963-08. The console is powered by three AAA batteries (included). This product is not compatible with the original Story Reader platform and Story Reader 2.0
