Story Reader 2.0 is the latest generation of the popular Story Reader system that brings to life stories about children's favorite characters. The Story Reader 2.0 and Cars 2 Storybook set, designed for children ages 3 years and older, is comprised of a Story Reader 2.0 console and a Cars 2 storybook and cartridge that tells a story adapted from the 2011 Disney-Pixar movie Cars 2.

The Story Reader 2.0 platform is not compatible with the original Story Reader and My First Story Reader platforms, but it works the same as the original Story Reader. Insert the cartridge and snap the storybook into the console. As you turn the pages, a narrator reads the story, and Story Reader 2.0 adds sound effects and music.

The Cars 2 storybook finds Mater and Lightning McQueen caught in the middle of a top-secret spy adventure. The Lemons, a group of poorly built cars, attempt to carry out a scheme led by the evil Professor Z to make the bio-fuel Allinol look bad. Find out if the Cars 2 characters triumph over Professor Z and the Lemons.

The Story Reader 2.0 and Cars 2 Storybook conforms to the safety requirements of ASTM F963-08. The unit is powered by three AAA batteries (not included).
