A Great Find!Aug 23, 2011
By reuel's mommy I saw this book at my sister's house and picked it up to see what stories were inside. I've been looking for a collection of classic fairy tales and stories in addition to those I already have in two other books. I must say, I was excited to see the stories in this book are not in your run-of-the-mill book of fariy tales. I found it quite comical that there was a small note written to the young owner of the book (my nephew) by his aunt (me)! I'd completely forgotten that I was the one who purchased this book for my nephew years ago. I knew I had to have it for myself when my sister told me that after all of these years, my nephew(s), now six and four, still love the stories.

Great Collection Of Stories.Jan 08, 2011
By mwrobison The title may be weak, but this is a great book. It is different from some of the other bedtime story collections out there. In addition to a few of the popular classics like "Jack and the Beanstalk" and "Puss in Boots," it has some of the other not-so-popular classics that you usually can't/don't find in a collections book - classics like "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," "Tom Sawyer," "Rip Van Winkle," and "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi." I bought our book out of a bargin bin at Kohl's for around $10. If you find one, grab it, and add a little variety to your child's storytime.
Here is the complete list of stories found in this book: o Puss in Boots o Rocking-Horse Land o The Nightingale o Baba Yaga o The Boy Who Cried Wolf o Tom Sawyer o The North Wind o Clever Manka o The Bell of Justice o Casey at the Bat o Jack and the Beanstalk o Rip Van Winkle o The Flying Prince o The Selfish Giant o Prince Carrots o The Little Dutch Boy o Ali Baba o Pecos Bill o Paradise o Rikki-Tikki-Tavi o The Seal's Skin o Stone Soup o The Golden Goose
